Example: Unlike dad, when mom goes shopping for Christmas, she loves to buy a large quantity of gifts for everyone in the family.
Quiet
The act of making little to no noise.
Example: During Midnight Mass, mom asked us to be as quiet as possible, but the excitement of Christmas made it impossible for us to sit still.
Quilt
A padded bed covering made with layers of fabric, usually handcrafted, such as a Christmas quilt, is themed around the holiday and given as a gift or used during this period.

Quest
A long journey in search of something, or the act of searching for something.
Example: Every year, my brother goes on a quest to find where mom hides the Christmas presents, and he fails to discover the location every year.
Quill
Feathers are found on a bird’s main wing or tail or the hollow sharp spines of a porcupine.
Example: My cousin loves to write, so we purchased her an old-fashioned quill and ink set for her Christmas present.
Quart
A unit used for measuring liquids equal to one-quarter of a gallon or two pints in the US.
Example: I knew I should have bought more than one quart of eggnog for Christmas when my brother opened the container and drank straight out of it.
Quite
To a certain or relatively certain degree, or being sure.
Example: My brother was quite sure that my parents were Santa, but he didn’t want to spoil the surprise for the rest of our siblings.
